Although Jesus was the son of GOD, He took prayer very seriously. Jesus spent the whole night praying on several occasions. Luke 6:12, Mark 1:35 and Luke 18:2.
“When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures”. James 4:3, whenever we ask God for something we must ensure it is in line with God’s will for our lives. 1 John 5:14-15 also reads “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him”. A lot of God’s power is at our disposal when we pray correctly. The bible recounts numerous stories of how miracles have happened because of prayer. For example, Joshua prayed and the sun stood still, Joshua 10:12.
