There was nothing like rain on earth initially, God made streams come up from the earth to water the ground. Genesis 2:5-6 “Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground”
-
Genesis 2:9, In the middle of the garden God had put two trees
1. The tree of life
2. The tree of knowledge of good and evil (Adam and Eve were commanded to not eat of it)
The tree of life
The tree of life refers to eternal life in God’s presence. Eating from the tree of life relates directly to living forever. Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."
According to Revelations 22:2, the tree of life has 12crops of fruit yielding its fruits every month.
And the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations.
Revelations, 12:14 blessed are those who wash their clothes they would be given the right to the tree of life.
Revelations 22:19 If anyone takes away from this scroll of prophecy God will take that person’s share in the tree of life.
Genesis 3: 24, Accordingly, there is a cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth that guards the tree of life

-
To tempt means to entice to do wrong by promise of pleasure or gain
-
Because Adam was asleep, he didn’t know rib had been taken out of him. But In God’s presence, he could rightfully say this is the bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. It is in God’s presence we can rightfully know who God destined us to be joined to.
-
The devil begun by cunningly asking, “Did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden”. The devil also tries to make us doubt the fact God would give the best of gifts.
-
Genesis 3:18, the ground would be cursed and start to produce thorns and thistles. That was the beginning of the growth of thorns and thistles on earth. But through Jesus redemptive work on Calvary he wore a crown of thorns signify his redemption from this curse.
-
God covered Adam and Eve’s nakedness and shame by making garments of skin for them.
-
Genesis 4:7 if you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.
-
Cain and Abel; Abel brought fat portions from the firstborn of his flock.Abel offered acceptable sacrifice. We must also offer up our lives to the lord as pleasing sacrifice acceptable to God.
-
“Hebrews 11:4 says, by faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.”
Psalm 2 a psalm of warfare
-
Psalm 2:5a, The Lord them in His anger. Rebuke-a weapon of the Lord

The Maggi (wise men) took an over two year’s journey to see Jesus; to worship the new king according to bible scholars.
-
The bible never mentions the exact amounts wise men. But then people assume they were three men because they offered three gifts, frankincense, myrrh and gold.
-
Jesus stayed in Nazareth Matthew 2:23, “and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene. Jesus of Nazareth”. The word Nazarene was a demeaning term then because people from Nazareth were considered as second class citizens.
-
Mary and Joseph had to sacrifice and go through the discomfort of moving to a different country Egypt and another town Nazareth to protect their baby. Mary and Joseph were separated from the families and familiar surrounding for a while. When God chooses as to perform certain tasks, we may be required to make major sacrifices
-
Matthew 2:13”, an angel of the Lord appeared in Joseph’s dream.” Joseph didn’t physically see the angel but saw the angel in a dream.
-
Even though Jesus is God, at a point in he had to hidden and protected from Herod death order.
