Worship the lord as your most desired treasure. God desires worshipers. He pours abundant blessings in return for worshiping Him. Worship is about pleasing God. True Christianity is about pleasing God in every single step we take. As Christians we can worship God by obeying His commandments which are found in the entire bible. Humans were created to worship God; worship is an instinct in us. Worship is an essential requirement of God. You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve" (Matthew 4:10).

 

Usually we always ask God for our desires but we do not think about giving God what he desires, WORSHIP. Worship is a secret weapon; people in the bible have won battles through worship. Worship should be evident in actions and priorities.1 Corinthians 10:31 says “Whether, then, you are eating or drinking, or whatever you are doing, let everything be done to the glory of God”.

 

Matthew 15:8 ‘these people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me ‘says the Lord. Worship must be unfeigned it must emanate from the inner most part of you. Most often we give God half hearted worship. Worship is more than honoring God with your lips only it involves heart, mind, soul and strength. Your intellect, emotions and will must worship the Lord. The emphasis in true worship is on giving the best we have, all throughout the bible, God demanded the very best from His people. Worship is multi-faced; it is both an attitude and an act. We must continually walk in the will of God, this pleasing to God.·

• Worship involves listening and obeying the words of the Lord.

• Worship is loving God wholeheartedly in spirit and truthWorship God not because of your need.

 

Worship involves expressing God’s worth to us in our lives. Adore, esteem and reverence the Lord with all your heart, soul and might. The primary Greek word for worship is proskuneo- meaning to kiss, like a dog licking his master's hand, to reverence or adore. It originally carried with it the idea of subjects falling down to kiss the ground before a king or kiss their feet. The primary Hebrew word for worship depress Shachah means to prostrate in homage to God, to bow down, fall down (flat), to reverence or make to stoop. This gives an idea of worship.

 

John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.

 

Romans 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

 

Matthew 15:7-9 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.

 

’Exodus 23:25 “If you worship me, the Lord your God, I will bless you with food and water and take away all your sicknesses”
